    Wow. Snowshoeing for the first time in like....ever. Crazy cardio and crazy fun. But I got butt burn. Don't ask. Wait, you can go read my blog post if you really want to know, lol.

    Slog, slog, slog. I think it was too early for me, lol! Took a long time for my legs to warm up in the icy conditions. All done, and on to the next run!

    Hill repeats: 2x bounding/3x strides/2x race pace. Harder than it should have been. A week in Mexico to blame for that, lol. Back at it now, yay!

    Ran in a short sleeved t-shirt! Woot! Was very mild today and the sun even poked thru the Vancouver clouds....a few minutes anyway...5 x mile repeats around a 9 m/mile. + w/up and c/down.

    First time trying Ab ripper x. Got 65% of the way through, then it kicked my butt. Definitely can improve my core - next time, a little better!

    What a rush! 1.5 mile w/up, then 2 sets up a long hill: 1x bounding 3/4 lenght, 1x strides 3/4 length, 1x regular run full length; ABC's, 1.5 mile cool down. Slept like a baby, lol.

    Thankful for the low miles this weekend, great to have a break after a hard but rewarding couple of weeks. Looking forward to the challenges ahead!

  16. Curious as to everyone's opinion....Gatorade vs Powerade (or any other sports drink). What's your fave? Also, gels...fave brand and do you buy the ones with caffeine?

      I'm curious to what people will answer. I'm very new to running, but I prefer Powerade. I haven't found a get that works for me at all... they all make me fall asleep :o even the caffeinated ones. I just buy them at the sports store. Good luck!

      I like Nuun tablets,G2 gatorade, or Heed. I also like Stinger honey and chocolate #9 gels (low glycemic index). Gu gels upset my stomach, Hammer gels are ok, I have used them without stomach upset, but not my fav. I only use them when I'm running 11 or more miles, but I always bring one just in case I'm having an off day!

      Wow! Great ideas! The green tea/OJ idea is amazing... I have green tea everyday! The gummies sound good too and just like Melanie... having M&M's... a dream come true! I'll try it all! gels have made my runs worse every time I've had them...

    great Wednesday Tempo Run 6 mi

    We did a 1 mile w/up, 3 mile tempo run and then drills and a 1 mile cool down. Had been dreading it, tempo runs are not my fave like speedwork, but had a great run. Funny when that happens!
