great Sunday LSD 10.05 km 01:18 12:24 pace

Headed out with the ladies for Linda's last run and just had fun with it. Didn't care about my time, it was more about feeling good and catching up with Nalini and Tricia to hear about their races last week and supporting Linda on the last long run before her big day!
Linda planned out a 17k that brought us up Broadview. I tell you hill training has really paid off as I didn't find it that horrible.
However Nalini wasn't feeling the love of the run and my feet were starting to hurt (no advil anymore) so her and I decided to cut it short. We ended up taking advantage of the Sporting Life 10k Yonge St closure and ran down Yonge St on the road. By the time we were there it was about an hour and a half after the start and there were hundreds of people still walking it! It was great running down the road but I kind of felt like a race bandit so I made sure to stay to the opposite side that everyone was walking on. I missed that race this year and in hindsight it would have been nice to get that medal for the fourth year in a row!
