  1. RUN
blah Windy LSD 16.88 km 02:01 11:30 pace

First 8k were fine. 2nd 8k, not so much. Also I am pretty much over this stupid heel thing. I almost don't even care what the Dr says when I see him on Thursday. OK I guess it's not that ... read more

  2. RUN
Run commute home 8.33 km 00:57 11:03 pace

Not the greatest run home but it's done. There is a huge knot in my calf still from the dry needle acupuncture. It's pretty tender and hard to roll out.

Nice run. You're battling through...proud of you for not quitting.

  3. RUN
good Rats Tuesday 7.6 km 00:51 10:50 pace

Good run tonight with Linda B. even though I'm not a huge fan of running up Bay street.

  4. RUN
great 16k Sunday Spring run 16.65 km 02:03 11:54 pace

Despite the pain in the heel I couldn't help but be happy with this run. Just being outside on this beautiful day was totally worth it. I managed to keep Linda B. company for half her LSD run ... read more

  5. RUN
    great 5k at VV 5 km 00:34 10:55 pace

Pretty happy with this one. Crossing my fingers that my stretching and rolling are helping my heel, I don't have the usual post run pain.

  6. RUN
good Rats ModeRat Run 7.81 km 00:58 11:55 pace

Headed out with the Rats last night for the first time in ages. Linda and I ended up running with a woman who was out running for her first time ever. 7.8k is a long way to go your first time out! ... read more

  7. RUN
    Sunday LSD 12.8 km 01:32 11:33 pace

Was so glad to be out doing a long run again with people. This was the first double digit run since February and I was nervous but in the end I managed almost 13k. My heel problem is still an issu... read more

  8. RUN
    Saturday morning 5k 5 km 00:34 10:50 pace

Nice easy run this morning but man was it a sweat fest at the gym. Prepping for tomorrow's first double digit run since February. Feeling nervous about it.

  9. RUN
    alright 8k commute home 8 km 00:58 11:36 pace

    That pretty much sucked.

  10. RUN
    good 5k at VV 5 km 00:33 10:32 pace

Not too bad overall. If I'm going to run the Ottawa half I need to get back to 3-4 times per week. Let's see how the heel feels tomorrow.

  11. RUN
    good Saturday morning 8k 8.09 km 00:55 10:51 pace

Longest run I've done in weeks. Felt pretty good overall but I could see in my pace reading that I got tired in the last 1.5k. No foot pain during the run but I'm paying for it now. Overa... read more

  12. RUN
great 5k on the treadmill 5.01 km 00:33 10:34 pace

Pretty decent birthday run and the first 3k felt effortless. Not sure if going to physio today for some ART and acupuncture had anything to do with it but I'll take it for now (but likely pay ... read more

  13. RUN
good 6k to the Ocean 6.03 km 00:47 12:38 pace

Great route this morning. I stepped out of our house and could hear the waves so I knew I had to run over to check it out. After I snapped a picture or two I continued on through Shipyard Plantatio... read more

  14. RUN
good Hilton Head Island 6k 6.13 km 00:42 11:05 pace

Decent run from our house to the gate and back. Stopped for a few pics along the way and to stretch out my cramped calf.

  15. RUN
    alright Saturday morning 5k 5 km 00:41 13:05 pace

Managed a VERY slow 5k with several walk breaks but nevertheless it was a run and the injuries didn't bug me too much so I'll take it. Now it's time to stretch, roll and ice everythi... read more

  16. RUN
    15.75 km 01:57 11:56 pace

Pretty decent run on the MGT. Getting on it and off it was tough with the slushy snow but it was nice and clear once we were on it. Nice to catch up with Linda again and run outside again!

  17. RUN
    good Saturday morning 5k 5 km 00:35 11:09 pace

This one was probably as good as it could be all things considered.

  18. RUN
    alright 7k treadmill run 7.01 km 00:50 11:32 pace

Took it nice and easy today. Went to physio today and she taped up my heel and I bought some gel heel inserts so we'll see how that goes.

  19. RUN
    blah 8k 8 km 00:56 11:17 pace

Was hoping for 10 but when I hit 8 I was done. It's very easy to quit a run when running with an injury. I am constantly asking myself why and very afraid of making things worse.

  20. RUN
    injured 5k at VV 5.24 km 00:37 11:13 pace

Things aren't going well. Who knew fat pad was a thing and that you could hurt it? Stupid fat pad. Back to physio, more icing and lots of rolling.

    • Jeffrey N.

Oh no... where is your fat pad? LOL

It's hard to say it without laughing! You have a few different fat pads but the one bothering me is on my heel.
