  1. RUN
great 5k on the treadmill 5.01 km 00:33 10:34 pace

Pretty decent birthday run and the first 3k felt effortless. Not sure if going to physio today for some ART and acupuncture had anything to do with it but I'll take it for now (but likely pay ... read more

  2. RUN
good 6k to the Ocean 6.03 km 00:47 12:38 pace

Great route this morning. I stepped out of our house and could hear the waves so I knew I had to run over to check it out. After I snapped a picture or two I continued on through Shipyard Plantatio... read more

  3. RUN
good Hilton Head Island 6k 6.13 km 00:42 11:05 pace

Decent run from our house to the gate and back. Stopped for a few pics along the way and to stretch out my cramped calf.

  4. RUN
    alright Saturday morning 5k 5 km 00:41 13:05 pace

Managed a VERY slow 5k with several walk breaks but nevertheless it was a run and the injuries didn't bug me too much so I'll take it. Now it's time to stretch, roll and ice everythi... read more

  5. RUN
    15.75 km 01:57 11:56 pace

Pretty decent run on the MGT. Getting on it and off it was tough with the slushy snow but it was nice and clear once we were on it. Nice to catch up with Linda again and run outside again!

  6. RUN
    good Saturday morning 5k 5 km 00:35 11:09 pace

This one was probably as good as it could be all things considered.

  7. RUN
    alright 7k treadmill run 7.01 km 00:50 11:32 pace

Took it nice and easy today. Went to physio today and she taped up my heel and I bought some gel heel inserts so we'll see how that goes.

  8. RUN
    blah 8k 8 km 00:56 11:17 pace

Was hoping for 10 but when I hit 8 I was done. It's very easy to quit a run when running with an injury. I am constantly asking myself why and very afraid of making things worse.

  9. RUN
    injured 5k at VV 5.24 km 00:37 11:13 pace

Things aren't going well. Who knew fat pad was a thing and that you could hurt it? Stupid fat pad. Back to physio, more icing and lots of rolling.

    • Jeffrey N.

Oh no... where is your fat pad? LOL

It's hard to say it without laughing! You have a few different fat pads but the one bothering me is on my heel.

great 16k Monarch Park Track 16.18 km 01:57 11:36 pace

We smartly opted for the indoor track at Monarch Park today. The temps inside were chilly but perfect, not too hot and not too cold. I have to say that even though it was countless times around an ... read more

    great 5 km 00:34 10:59 pace

Did the 5k waltz today. Had to really concentrate on the advice Physio gave me to improve the midfoot strike and played with it on and off during the run.

    10k of crap 8 km 00:58 11:45 pace

Words cannot describe how crappy that run was, they can only show you that I quit after 8k. Thankful to being going to physio tomorrow.

    great 6k at VV 6.01 km 00:39 10:34 pace

Very surprised at how this one turned out considering I did it after scarfing back a yummy pot roast dinner. Brought my new heart rate monitor but sadly my watch picked up James heart rate. I could... read more

I'm starting to think that bad post-dinner runs are more about what you drink, than what you eat.

Nice to run beside you tonight.

    great 6k Thursday 6 km 00:40 10:44 pace

  18. RUN
    good 13k LSD 13.09 km 01:39 12:06 pace

Tough, slow slog today through snow, slush and ice. Thankful for Julie H. and Linda B. for coming my way and keeping me company. Also thankful to the people of Toronto who clear their sidewalks.
