alright Portland RnR Half Marathon 13.41 mi 02:18 10:17 pace

Lots of hills! I really wanted to PR, but missed it by 56 seconds; official time was 2:18:03 and my PR was 2:17:07 It was warm at the beginning, 58 and humid, but it started raining toward then end, which helped while running; not so much after. The one thing that was difficult for us runners was that the gear check was about a half mile from the finish line in the opposite direction from where I had to go to get back to Sherrie's place. It was cold, rainy and windy; what a surprise for Portland. hahaha!

Splits: 10:00; 9:45; 10:13; 10:02; 11:02 (hills started); 10:17; 11:30 (more hills); 10:04; 9:58; 10:22; 10:56; 10:39; 10:10; 10:02

I tried to give it a good shot at the end, but I was pretty tired. Still, it's a PR for this race! hahahaha!

I'm back in Salem and need to get ready to go volunteer at the homeless shelter tonight. I hope everyone's day went well.

A big shout out and thank you to Sherrie Austin for letting me stay at her place instead of paying for a hotel room. She rocks!

On the bright side, at least you didn't have to shower once you got back to Sherrie's :D

Great work Gina! There is always next year to beat this years time. And of course it's a PR for this coarse ! Hope you had fun. It was hilly! I was there too :) I thought it was well organized for a inaugural race that big. Had to walk over the steel bridge back to my hotel near the convention center. Wet out there!
