I have a sore heel...I had to run/walk my run today! I'm not sure what is up?

    If it feels worse in the morning when you get out of bed and then gets more comfortable throughout the day, it could very well be plantar fasciitis. If so, trust me, stop running immediately and work on some stretches. Plantar fasciitis is a terrible thing to get rid of. That is what I think I have had from a trail run I did years ago.

    Icing and massaging the heel helps, and ibuprofen. Maybe better shoes. Hope it's only minor :)

    Terry gives good advice Gill, take a closer look at your shoes and your running form as well. If it continues to get worse, see a physician if you can. My wife is experiencing the same thing and seeing physio now, laser treatments and stuff, helps but it takes time to heel.

    I did some icing and messaging last night, but woke up this morning thinking my running was done. I couldn't even walk on it this morning...Auuug...I think my runs may have come to an halt! I will definitely look at the shoe issue, I'm probably due for new ones. I was really looking forward to my long run this weekend. I was getting so close to my 10km milestone.
