Thanks, I do hope so. I think having no real time constraints on me will help with the recovery. Keep it easy, keep it light, keep it smooth.

  4. RUN
    alright Dreadmill 2.57 mi 00:30 11:43 pace

Too early to tell. First day back in motion, everything feels like crap. BUT! First day back in motion. I'm guardedly optimistic, I'll see how things feel tomorrow.

  5. RUN
    tired 4.7 mi 00:50 10:39 pace

Nice weather (high 50s and cloudy) and lovely foliage around the river but my lungs were junky, my heart rate high, my knee hurting...hopefully the week will improve.

  6. RUN
    injured 25-40 minutes 3.2 mi 00:35 10:57 pace

Okay, regret this one. Trying again Friday.

  7. RUN
    alright 8 miles easy 8.02 mi 01:25 10:37 pace

Sometimes your body is trying to tell you something. Spending most of yesterday on my knees under a sink playing amateur plumber left me with some tender knees that were very unhappy about downhill... read more

  8. RUN
    good 45-55 minutes dreadmill 5.26 mi 00:55 10:27 pace

A morning workout today, I have a date tonight. It was dark and rainy so, dreadmill was dreadmill.

  9. RUN
    good 25-40 minutes 3.95 mi 00:41 10:19 pace

Perfect weather, nice run, heart rate where I wanted it, quick feet. I know I'm not as ready as I could be, I still have a few more weeks of training but I'm *feeling* ready.

  10. RUN
    good 45-55 minutes 5.31 mi 00:55 10:24 pace

The weather was perfect; cool, dry and overcast and I made the most of it. Coming off the weekend speedwork my feet were feeling good and quick. It was tough keeping my pace from creeping up...I LO... read more

  11. RUN
    good Speedwoork 6x1600 10.02 mi 01:56 11:36 pace

It was cool and sunny which would have been nice but windy made it a little more brisk than I would like. Splits for the speed reps were - 1) 9:13, 2) 9:20, 3) 9:14, 4) 9:30, 5) 9:37, 6) 9:38

  12. RUN
    good 45-55 minutes 5.08 mi 00:55 10:45 pace

Minor aches and pains had me a little off my pace for one of these...and I had to stop to smoosh a gnat that refused to be shooed off my shades. I can't allow it to breed shoo resistant gnats.

  13. RUN
    great 25-40 minutes 3.85 mi 00:40 10:25 pace

This run started slow and a new battery in the HRM was returning odd numbers for the first mile or so. Once everything settled down I felt REALLY good and started accelerating for the last mile. Go... read more

  14. RUN
alright 45-55 minutes DREADMILL 5.21 mi

It was on a dreadmill. The worst bit about it, had I just waited another half an hour or so, the rain outside was down to a drizzle. The best part is, new gym and I like it. The /sigh part was the ... read more

  15. RUN
alright 23 miles, long and slow 23.02 mi 04:47 12:28 pace

The weather was almost perfect. It was clear and the temperature started at 55 and rose to 65 by the end. I couldn't find my gym boss so I used music to pace my intervals. No joke though, I fe... read more

Yay! So glad this went well. You got this marathon in the bag! And that's actually a great pace for a training run of this distance.

Thanks Katy and yea, while it wasn't the pace I set out to run, I'm very happy with it. According to Galloway's numbers, 13m/m is my target BUT that also happens to be the cut off time for the Marathon...I REALLY have a bad mojo mental block about letting the legs get used to a time that cost me a DNF. 12-12:45 is totally doable and gives me a layer of confidence.

  16. RUN
    great 5.14 mi 00:56 10:52 pace

Oh there was a flow today from almost the beginning. It was a little warm and the sun a bit bright but oh I felt so good, so whole, so full. One of those runs that feels so amazing that you have no... read more

  17. RUN
    good 25-40 minutes 3.75 mi 00:40 10:45 pace

I tossed on the Kinvaras to get a nice light run with more emphasis on me being in charge of my form and alignment. It was a bit warm and sunny so that kept the enjoyment down but still a good run.

  18. RUN
    alright 45-55 minutes 5.06 mi 00:56 10:58 pace

Heart rate was good, joints were good, feet good but my legs were dipped in lead. Not every run is joyous but they are valuable.

  19. RUN
great Harrisburg Half Marathon 13.06 mi 02:18 10:33 pace

The day started almost perfect, cool and with a slight breeze, it got a little warmer as the sun came up but it was still a good day. I didn't try to chase a PR, so it's kinda cool that I... read more
