More running and weights. No elliptical follow up this time, it was getting pretty late and I was pretty tired.

RUN
good 1.5 mi 00:18 12:00 pace
Didn't injure myself as badly as I thought the other night. So I took it kind of easy on the running tonight. I also did a little bit of strength training (GASP!) and followed with a little ellip... read more

First time back at the gym in 2 weeks due to injuries, and what's my brilliant plan? Run a 5k. I am SMRT.

RUN
good 3.1 mi 00:34 11:01 pace
First 5k since back at the gym. This included some odd self-torture, including 13 minutes at 6.5 near the beginning, and 2 minutes at an 8.5 around 18 minutes in. Of course, that last bit slowed ... read more

FIT
blah 00:25
Well, I feel great while I'm on them, but my feet cramp up like there's no tomorrow as soon as I stop. Kind of makes it hard to do a secondary workout unless I remember to do it first.

RUN
alright 1 mi 00:09:00 09:00 pace
Just did it to see if I could do it. The answer is yes. Fatigue was catching up with me at the end, so it will take some work to be able to go farther at that pace.

good 00:10:00
Didn't pay attention to how far I actually went on the elliptical as part 2 of my workout today, though it kept screaming at me to go slower to stay in the cardio range. Cardio range, for me, is a... read more

I can already feel my stamina coming back, the question is how my knee will do. WIll it respond positively? Or is it just going to be a problem?

walk
blah 2 mi 00:30 15:00 pace
Knee was definitely not wanting to run today, so I mostly walked it. The past 3 nights I have not had the energy or motivation to go to the gym after work. Guess that's what I get for being off s... read more

RUN
alright 2.5 mi 00:30 12:00 pace
It's not lack of breath that's holding me back, it's my calves just not wanting to go more than a couple minutes at a time.

RUN
alright 2.64 mi 00:30 11:21 pace
I can already tell it's going to be harder coming back from 5 months off at the gym than it was the 10 years before I started exercising to begin with.
