  2. RUN
good Hotel fitness center 2.74 mi 00:30 10:56 pace

Not bad as I thought, getting up at 4:30 AM and traveling all day ... maybe I needed that run.

  3. RUN
good OSP With RR Fit 5.97 mi 01:01 10:13 pace

Good run, especially against the wind

  4. RUN

The achilles/calf issue is getting lots better with the new heel cups. Maybe I can get back to 4 runs per week next week!

That's great news!! I would like to get back to that much running too during the week but my left ankle keeps swelling for some reason all of a sudden after my runs. Ice, Ice and more ice...along w/ the other stuff.

  5. RUN
    good 5.5 mi 00:53 09:42 pace

Good run. New heel cups seems to take the pressure off my achilles and calf muscle so it didn't hurt much at all. Maybe I finally found the solution ... along with a lot of icing.

  6. RUN
good Collingwood Trail 2.92 mi 00:30 10:16 pace

Good run with Chris. Ice and more ice for that calf and achilles tendon!

  8. RUN
injured Collingwood Trail 2.2 mi 00:25 11:21 pace

Damn, that calf just rocked right back to the ugly around the end of the second mile. More ice, more massage.

  9. RUN

Good run, calf is finally starting to loosen up.

  10. RUN
alright RR Fit - Veterans Hill Elemen... 5 mi 00:52 10:28 pace

Not too bad, the achilles/calf thing is trying to work me over but I stayed on track with a little slower pace. I'll get that fixed this week.

  11. RUN
alright Hotel treadmill 2.54 mi 00:30 11:48 pace

Easy run, 2 days in a row always means take it easy.

  12. RUN
alright Clinton River Trail - Detroit... 3 mi 00:32 10:39 pace

Talk about a change of place to run. Nice paved trail, speeding cars gave me vertigo as they passed under the bridge over the 8 lane highway though. I always have trouble with hydration when I tr... read more

Cooler weather is so nice. Calves still feel those hills from Saturday but sitting in an ice bath as I type this and it's gonna be alright.

I found on Saturday that bringing along my laptop made an ice bath bearable. Not sure what that says about my attention span...

I didn't notice the hill too much at first, but on the way back I thought I was going to stop.

Those hills weren't fun at the time, but it's certainly a good feeling to beat them.

alright Hotel fitness center 2.8 mi 00:30 10:42 pace

Running 2 days in a row is always a challenge for me when I can't ice between runs. Maybe when I lose 15 lbs (dare to dream!) it will be easier.

Don't you just enjoy squeezing in a workout while on the road? Most of the time I just want to lay around and watch TV while traveling for business!
