Warmed up inside then 6 miles lower zone 3 run. Half dry half wet. Knew it was coming and just wanted to beat the lightning so this turned into a progressive run by anxiety, stayed in zone 3 though. Nice refreshing downpour for the last 3 miles. I had heard that my Brooks PureConnects are not good in wet conditions but I had no problem so it must be the way some folks land as I never slipped once even on turns. Cool down by core strength routine (push ups, planks, bicycle, bird dogs, supine leg lifts, leg extensions). Stretch for 25 minutes. Felt great after a day off of spending the entire day with my son on his birthday including golfing and card games until the wee hours.
