Chuck Korb i suck at daily mile....
Dailymile makes it easy to keep track of your workouts. Map your routes and share with a community of active people.
I suck at Daily Mile.
I started posting here on January 1st, and will finish out the year, but found myself falling behind on both posting my workouts and encouraging friends during the summer when life was crazy. Unfortunately, this has continued right through the remainder of the year, and today I found myself posting almost a full month of workouts.
I will finish out the year, then stop posting my workouts here (although I will keep my membership and check in on my buddies to see how they are doing). Part of the reason for this is that I missed my old method of keeping track of workouts - a handwritten recap in a journal kept in my weight room. I would also include personal info, like a good day with my wife/son, first surf day, powder day in the woods, etc., as well as stuff like the day I opened the pool, or turned off the sprinklers. It is cool to be able to go through the pages and remember what happened and when and get some idea about things like the dates for making maple syrup. I missed it this year - a lot - and have been back to the journal since Thanksgiving. This is my preferred method going forward and, although I will miss the easy record keeping and accumulated totals here, the journal it will be.
What I will miss most about posting regularly on DM, however, is the incredible people who post here and their encouragement and support. You guys are great, and I will continue to watch and occasionally comment on your fantastic accomplishments.
If anyone wants to contact me for any reason, my email is frisbetarian@gmail.com. I'm always up for a run, and have taught tons of folks to ski (both XC and downhill) and surf.
Happy New Year.

We'll miss you dude, you better stop in and say hello every once and while!!

That's cool. DM isn't for everyone. Of course, you could also include notes on your surfing, skiing and other activities in DM, along with photos. But whatever works best for you. take care.

Lots of good ways to chronicle workouts, Chuck, and we should each go with what works best for us. I still maintain my Excel sheets in addition to DM because it gives me lots of stats, data trends, charts and other geeky stuff that I like to look at. The best thing about dm is the networking between a lot of awesome active individuals. Glad you'll keep your page open to look in on us occasionally. Got your email now, plus facebook, so between that and dm, we'll stay in touch. The best to you, amigo!
