great Cycleops Trainer 16.5 mi 01:00 16.5mph pace

Had to get my usual ride in for the day. Took a break at 31 mins. No discomfort during this ride, but let's see how I feel tomorrow. Now I'm starving! Time to eat, shower, and bed.

    great 5k...maybe? 12.41 mi 00:45 16.5mph pace

Trying to make up in cycling miles the lack of running miles. I relied on the popular 1:4 ratio. Hopefully I can ride my usual ride later at night. Felt great!

    Max: 18.4 mph

..for me to do my jog/walk this week. So I was thinking of cycling more than what I had planned to compensate for the lack of running. I figured I would stick to the 1:4 ratio, but my arse couldn&#... read more

Thank you, everyone! Needless to say, my shirt was almost fully covered in sweat. I drank way more water than usual during and after the ride, understandably so. I keep a golf towel to wipe the sweat from my face, and to protect my bike frame. I just get a little annoyed having to wipe my face to often, otherwise it's all good. :)

great Super Easy Quickie 3.55 mi 00:14:16 14.9mph pace

Thank you both! Diane: We had a blast at the museum and playing at home all day! I may or may not be pooped out. Ken: trying to get back in shape for a 13.1, and to break my longest cycling distance at one time (110.2 miles). Goals! 😊

    great 4 mi away.. 13.85 mi 00:50 16.6mph pace

..from breaking even with my total 2015 miles! Woo hoo! :) So much for the tired/heavy legs during my 5k. I felt super strong on this ride. Took a break but I forgot when. Happy Friday!!

    good Da 5k 3.1 mi 00:41 13:16 pace

2J/3W. Pretty cold out, so wasn't the easiest one. Legs are feeling tired/heavy. May need to look into another running shoe with more cushion than my current Newton.

I think it depends on the activity, and if it's in/outdoors.While I'm on a bicycle trainer, it's primarily about time. I tend to get off the bike, remove my cleats, then look at the mile. While I'm out on the road, it's about distance. When I ran a marathon a few years back, I had no structure, but I think I focused on the distance. Sometimes, I would push myself in the last 1-2 miles to fall within a certain time. If that makes any sense hahahah.
