good 2012 LBI TT 13.49 mi 00:33 24.3mph pace

I have mixed emotions about this race. Came in 19th place out of 35ish in the cat 4/5 group. Official time was actually 32:58 so I'm happy with the pace and the 264 avg watts over 33min. That blows away all my 20min practice TT from the last few weeks. What really sucked about this race, was I missed the first turn and went past the cones. I kind off zone out as soon as I took off and the first turn around came up a lot quicker than I thought. The lady who I thought was a spectator, didn't start signalling to turn till I was almost on top of her. I was going way too hot into the turn so I decided to just go straight. Of course the street was divided by a barrier, so I had to double back a little to get back on the track. I think I lost like 15 to 20 sec, plus had to put out a lot of power to get back up to speed. oh well, you live and learn... Still a fun TT, now just hoping I don't do the same at the Cape May TT tomorrow.

Good effort Fred, shame about the lax marshalling

Thanks MUN. Ya, but I'll have to take some of the blame on this one. There were large bight orange cones blocking the street to mark the turn :) Not sure what I was thinking...
