Glad your hamstring stayed quiet; mine did too after a warmup and stretching. Same for my plantar fasciitis, 'til I stopped. Didn't know you were having toe problems; does the barefoot running help with that? I've noticed you're a real encourager; you give positive feedback to a lot of people. I admire that.

The toe was my first big injury FROM barefoot running. More from not having my head in the game. Thanks James.

Sorry the pacing was tougher, but glad you got it done and helped so many out there reaching for their goals. Hooray for being done before the downpour!

Sorry to hear you're having problems with your toe; hope it heals quickly. 3:04 running injured beats my best effort by a minute, and I felt great. Impressive performance, you're a genuine tough guy!

Great performance out there, Frank! Good that your toe held on well enough to get you through it.

alright Easy Trail Run 7.2 mi 01:01 08:28 pace

Toe was hurting so I cut it short. Almost cut it shorter, but it kept feeling good when I'd loop back to the start. So I'd loop out again. Hope I'm good for the marathon Sunday :)

Hope your toe feels better for the marathon! Just be careful- it goes away while you are running and suddenly when your done, it hits you hard! Nice easy running.

Yes! It wasn't bad when I was running, but I think it had me hanging on the outside of my foot away from it which put stress elswewhere. It swelled up and hurt after, but not too bad. Thanks Ruby!

Strong comeback, Frank. I hadn't read about your toe... glad it's recovering well. BTW, I've been putting in the miles BF while walking my dog since it's been so warm. It feels great to be back at it, and the neighbors aren't asking questions this year!

Sounds like a solid pacing job and race! Rolling hills are certainly difficult to run on.
I didn't know loose muscles meant delayed recovery! Hmmm...something new every day!

Looks like it was a great race.

I didn't realize MB had slight inclines and declines? Everyone says it's a great course to PR or BQ though, a few of my friends who ran Saturday did... not 305s though ;). Hope you are recovering well.
