Alarm set for 5:15. Up at 5:15. Out the door at 5:45 because apparently finding the Garmin and the HR monitor is next to impossible before caffeine. It was an amazing morning - cool, slight breeze and the sky was clear so I got to watch the sunrise go from muted peaches and pale blues to more brilliant pinks. Wanted to "just run" and go with what felt comfortable but a bit of a challenge. Started out and first up on my playlist was "Stronger" - Kelly Clarkson, followed by "Story of My Life" - Bon Jovi. My music spoke to me this morning - reminded me of the road I've traveled, the journey I've taken and I was filled with such gratitude that I am able to appreciate my surroundings and enjoy such a beautiful start to the day.
Happy Wednesday, Daily Mile - do great things.

Nice that you had "one of those" mornings. Great way to start the day....being thankful for where you have been, how you got where you are, and where you are going.

It's always great when the music and scenery can take you away fro a bit. I hate searching for gear in the morning, running is one thing...thinking is quite another!

Great run Joy! I love that you had one of those wonderful morning runs! I have also had the caffeine-free moments of stumbling around looking for gear! My list is: clothes, socks, shoes, hat, iphone, earbuds, iphone HR dongle, HR strap, iFitness belt, Driver's License, water! YIKES!

Nice run Joy! Welcome to the early morning runners club. Except you were a little late this morning :-) I may not have run, but I still woke up at 5am feeling that I'd overslept. I'm sure with enough practice thou I'll be able to sleep in. Enjoy the rest of your run-free day.

Nice mid-week miles, Joy! And yes, it's pretty much standard practice to (quietly) make multiple trips up/down the stairs before I have all of my gear together. This is despite what I thought was "laying everything out the night before". Der.

Thanks, all!!! Don't call me a convert yet - I still prefer my afternoon runs :) @Christina: I'm trying to change up my run a couple of days a week to get it done in the morning so I can come home and enjoy the afternoon/evening with my kiddos now that school is almost out for The Oldest :)
