    great 2.3 mi 00:32 13:51 pace

  3. RUN
    good 3.11 mi 00:44 14:01 pace

C25K W5D1. Felt the work a lot more today, which isn't necessarily bad, but man, those five minute intervals feel like my limit right now. Oddly, although I am more sore and spent, I also feel... read more

  6. RUN
    alright 3.36 mi 00:46 13:49 pace

  7. RUN
    alright 4.05 mi 00:58 14:17 pace

Nice. Morning went off the rails and I had to call out from work, but it meant I had time for a longer run! Right calf wasn't as tight (thanks for the tips, Aleta!), but the midday heat got to... read more

Glad to help. I went through 2 years of suffering before I finally learned to stretch it out several times a day.

  8. RUN
    alright 3.29 mi 00:48 14:28 pace

That tight right calf is back with a vengeance! Damn! I suspect that, being my dominant leg, I'm putting more strain on the right calf on footfall than the left. Feels like my stride is lopsid... read more

My left calf is all jinky too. I have to stretch it several times a day even on rest days. I've found that stretching it and lifting weights (lunges, calf raises, etc.) help balance some of the unevenness.

I'm sure that's part of it. I'm not stretching enough. And I'm so intimidated by lifting! Gotta start doing more of that kind of thing.

    good 2.03 mi 00:29 14:03 pace
