      A little is better then nothing for sure Sharon :-) Take your time, but be consistent and you will be back in swim condition. I must do the same, I have not been in the water since my last tri which has been over a year and a bit, ugh. Just waiting for the pool to reopen from their maintenance closurer. July 02 will be my first attempt , going to be tough I think :-(

      I found swimming to be one of the quicker things to be able to build. Started 2 laps at a time last year, and was at an hour within a month or so.

    I forgot my heart rate monitor but it's ok, I ran by feel and just enjoyed the moderate temps and low humidity. I like stats, but I don't want to be a slave to them.

    Very slow but it was great to be a part of a group ride again. Ladies only ride, 13mph average. I'm not going to say it was too slow, it was 90 degrees out so it felt nice to just take it easy.

      Sharon - go for it. I ran in England and had no idea where I was going but kept track of the twists and turns so I could get back where I was going. I realized afterwards - not so smart. I was staying with friends of my sisters and did not know the address, their last name or their phone number. Yikes - but definitely fun to get out there and really see the area from a runner's point of view.

      Sharon, I am exactly the same way! I hired a trainer a few years ago and worked diligently with her for 2+ years. I loved the results but then I told myself that I should be able to do it on my own and couldn't justify the expense, yadda yadda yadda. As a result I have hardly done any strength training for the past year. Probably time to throw in the towel and call the trainer again. Good luck!
