  2. RUN
    injured Brrrrrr!!! 9.6 mi 01:35 09:53 pace

Winter has finally arrived in Georgia. The temp. wasn't so bad, 36*, but the wind was gusting up to 20mph or more so it felt much colder.

  3. RUN
good Hilly But Short 3.5 mi

    Slow and easy!

  4. RUN
good The 'Hooch! 3.2 mi 00:27 08:26 pace

Running in the evening feels harder for me than running in the morning. My body does not like evening exertion I guess.

    • Marlene E.

I agree. If for some reason I have to do a run after work rather than my usual 0430, 0500 runs I feel like I am totally dragging.

I'm the same way. I seem to have a lot of energy in the morning but as the day winds down, so do I.... Nice run, Sharon.

I also have trouble transitioning to afternoon/evening runs, especially if I worked that day. Sweet pace!

  5. RUN
    good Greenway 4 mi 00:34 08:30 pace

This used to be my marathon pace and with so much time off it is now my fast pace. Yikes! I have to get back in race shape.

  6. RUN
    good Greenway 7 mi 01:12 10:17 pace

Nice and slow and it felt so good to get in a longer run finally! Now, on to some yoga. My new routine is to follow a run with yoga in an effort to stay flexible.

  7. RUN
    good Greenway 4 mi 00:40 10:00 pace

I was pleased to see the greenway officials posted signs that tel users to keep to the right and pass on the left. Hopefully people will read and obey. Sure will help minimize some of the frustrati... read more

  8. walk
good Horse Farm Rd. 4 mi

The dogs love this walk, I think it's because of all the horsey smells! Anyhow, it's good for me to walk some hills and get a little extra exercise to strengthen the knee.

  9. RUN
good River Run 3.75 mi 00:34 09:03 pace

I hate to jinx myself but my knee is finally feeling better. Now I need to refrain from overdoing the running...but that is so hard!

  10. RUN
good The River 3.1 mi 00:28 08:56 pace

I could not wait to get out and run on this beautiful day! Sunny and 65*! Better yet, the soft, flat surface was kind to my knee.

    alright Post Run Yoga 01:00

I'm loving the P90x -2 yoga. It's one hour and perfect for a post run recovery routine. Not as challenging as the original but still a nice workout.

Woah only 1 hour of p90x2 yoga compared to an hour and a half! Now I'll definitely have to get this thing. Nice job Sharon!

This program is so much better than the original P90X yoga. It has a much better flow and is also about 30 minutes shorter.

I've had to use a cortisone-based shot a few times when I've had laryngitis before a gig that I have to do...as long as you also address the underlying issue of whatever is causing the problem and follow your MDs comeback path you'll be fine!

I had to get a cortisone shot for a wrist injury once... they're not fun, but it did help. I hope it works for you, and that your recovery goes well!
