injured CMT #78 - longish run 11.68 mi 02:15 11:33 pace

Plan called for 10 min walking warmup and cool down, with 1 hr 40 min at MP and 10 min fast finish at sub 8:45/mile pace.

The good - I was able to finish this before it got too hot and sticky. The bad - my right foot started to hurt after 1 hr 15 minutes. At this point I was already starting to walk a little to try to slow my pace. The foot got increasingly uncomfortable to the point that I finally shut it down and hobbled home 3 minutes into the fast finish. I guess I will need to try a run with the ankle support to see if that helps me manage the foot pain. My calf did fine - I am used to running with that discomfort.

I set a new PR for monthly mileage in August - ran 103, even though I missed a week of running due to the foot and calf. We'll see how the next week goes - marathon is six weeks away!
