  1. RUN
alright Whitefish Bay 5.3 mi 00:43 08:08 pace

There was about an inch of snow today and I think that snow shoveling businesses were excited to have something to do (they used a lot of salt!).

  2. RUN
    alright 3.09 mi 00:25 08:11 pace

I ran Sunday's long run in shoes I don't normally wear on long runs and had a sore ankle after. Then, I think I aggravated it on Monday. I took a couple of days off, iced it, was lazy, ... read more

I can't complain! It's a good park with views and enough trees to block most of the wind coming off of Lake Michigan.

    good 17.2 mi 02:21 08:11 pace

On cold days, I have two areas that I have not figured out how to keep warm: hands and hips. Before today's run, I think that I figured out solutions to both. I found an old pair of gloves t... read more

  5. RUN
alright Around Lake Park 5.08 mi 00:42 08:15 pace

Recovery run around Lake Park. It felt almost like spring. Tomorrow's high is 16 and then 6 on Monday. That'll be a little bit of a shock.

  6. RUN
good UWM Lab 2 mi 00:08:15 04:07 pace

  7. RUN
good Whitefish Bay, Glendale, Fox ... 14.15 mi 01:54 08:05 pace

First 7 were with the wind and managed to find dry roads. The second 7 were against the wind and I hit quite a few sections of ice. I didn't hit the pace that I intended but felt pretty good... read more

  8. RUN
    alright Lakefront 11.33 mi 01:30 07:55 pace

Ran along the lakefront to avoid the ice. Most of the paths down there were clear. But, the sidewalks getting there were slick! Also, I have a hypothesis that these shoes make my hips hurt more ... read more

  9. RUN
alright Shorewood High School 7.71 mi 01:00 07:48 pace

Warmup, intervals, long-ish cool down while looking for a dog whistle I lost while out walking the dog at some point in the past month...no luck, yet.

  10. RUN
good Oak Leaf Trail 12.13 mi 01:34 07:43 pace

After taking a couple of days off, today started out a little stiff but ended up good. I ran on the Oak Leaf Trail and I'm always fascinated by this group of elderly men and women who push li... read more

  11. RUN
    tired 3.25 mi 00:27 08:23 pace

Thanks, Brittany! I got the CEP progressive ones. I was stuck between them and the Pro Compression ones but found what seemed like a decent price for the CEPs. Have you found that they help with sore calves?

I'll wear my Pros after a long run for a day and I think it shortens the recovery time a bit. I got mine through a Schwaggle deal awhile ago. I actually have not run in them...yet.

That sounds outstanding. If it makes it easier to go down stairs the day after a long run, they'll definitely be worth the price!
