5 miles progressive plus c/d. Still doing just enough the taper isn't driving me nuts, but I'm not sure how I'll make it through next week.

Did my easy/recovery miles in the heat of the day. If the marathon weather is hotter than expected I'll be glad for this one.

@Ameet - We have a saying here "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes". So, it changes day to day, but on this run it was in the low 80s (27-28 C). Humidity is fairly low most of the time, rarely going over 70%.

Smart to get ready for some heat on race day. Though I rarely do that, I'm going to need to over the next couple of months.

Went out with no plan except putting in some trail miles on the Altras and being home for a slightly late dinner. Did two loops at moderate effort and one easy.

great Cybex Arc Trainer 0.69 mi 00:15:00 21:44 pace
The contraption Marsi talked me into trying. Basically something in between an elliptical and running/hiking uphill.

You're an Inspiration:
Never seen one of those, could be good for building up strength in the legs, we have one that resembles cross country skiing with its movements maybe that's similar to this one

@Ameet - I don't think I can help you - you're running is typically just a few seconds/mile faster than me. But I appreciate the compliment.

great MLE 10 mi 01:10 07:00 pace
Mid-Long Elliptical. Terrible traffic on the way home, so it was dark and raining. Along with wanting to reduce impact late in a training cycle made the elliptical a good decision.
