The first mile and a half were disastrous...literally THE worst run we've done so far. We were tired, bickering, hot, slow, still full (some how) from dinner, cramping up. We stopped at the park to appease the 3 year old, let the 3 year old out to run his normal half mile, and then picked the 3 year old up (he was also very tired)...he face planted into a concrete sidewalk. Then finally, through my son's screaming and my husband's irritation at what had just happened I took off...literally. It was AMAZING. Our son calmed down and my husband was happy (he could finally run at a "normal pace"), and I felt like I was on cloud 9! I was down to an 8 minute mile!!! Since I started running in April my fastest pace has been a 10-something. I was still tired but boy did it feel GREAT...finished with a 600 meter sprint. Boo-ya!! :)
