Great! Today was a strange day. Had a false start at 8am when GPS wouldn't work so had to return home, then my daughter wanted to watch the village's re-enactment of the queen's coronation so we went to see it at the church for an hour. Then I finally made it out for my run. Was 4 hours since breakfast so had a quick banana I keep me going.

Plan said 6 miles at race pace. Went out too fast (7:50ish for first mile!), then settled down at an avg in the 8:20s. Surprised myself as that's my 10k pace. Was hard work but felt ok with the right music to keep me going.

Feeling far more confident that I'll be able to sustain the 9:08min/mile needed for a sub 2hr next week. Am going to push for it and see what happens.

Smells: sulphur (yuk!) and rain.
