good Habitat Halloween Century, Du... 101.1 mi 06:51 14.8mph pace

Confused start -- they should have at least pointed riders in the right direction. It was cold (42*) and raining at the start; stopped raining after a couple hours but got very windy (25-30mph.) Bu... read more

good Out and back 2.8 mi 00:31 11:13 pace

Working up my base again. Still under 3 miles but planning to add 5 min per run.

Lots of fun with members of Western Maryland Wheelmen -- Andy & Joyce on a tandem, and James. Wonderful ride!

    good A fun 10-mile Time Trial in C... 10 mi 00:32 18.9mph pace

Very fun! My first time trial. I was 6th out of 11 and the only female. Not bad.... 5 guys ahead of me, 5 behind. Can't wait to see how I do in another one, now that I know how it works!

  5. RUN
    alright Out-and-back building base 2.25 mi 00:26 11:22 pace

First run in a couple weeks. 56* with a couple sprinkles and fairly windy.... I'm surprised how heavily I dressed compared to, say 15 years ago, which would have been shorts and t-shirt. Today tigh... read more

alright Biked in Avilton area 29.5 mi 02:44 10.8mph pace

W-I-N-D-Y ride. Pedalling 9mph downhill. Hard to steer, nearly got blown over a couple times. Look at average pace -- crimeny! Feel like I rode a hundred miles.

  7. VELO
    good Biked Lake Shore-Mayhew Inn l... 22.3 mi 02:00 11.2mph pace

Beautiful autumn ride, easy pace, good company.

Beautiful day with gorgeous fall colors, cloudless blue sky, 70*. Kind of tired last 20 miles but no wonder....

  9. VELO
great Rock Lodge Road w/ Pat 19.5 mi 01:40 11.7mph pace

Easy spin, perfect distance, beautiful weather, great recovery ride with a friend. Felt like I was coasting up hills, no granny gears, hardly any work. Why can't it always be like that?

  10. VELO
good Savage River Road to Spring L... 32.6 mi 02:10 15.0mph pace

Net downhill on the way out (avg 19.5), net uphill on return, including a 3-mile slow incline and one of the big SavageMan hills. I was happy to end up with the 15 average!

  11. VELO
good High Mt. Sports - Deer Park Loop 26 mi 02:20 11.1mph pace

Nice ride with biking buddy Pat. Cold, though.... 51* and windy; I forgot my gloves.

  12. VELO
    good New Germany/495 Loop 26.97 mi 01:48 15.0mph pace

Whew! Struggled for final average of 15.0 and just made it! Saw 16.x a few times, lost a lot on each long hill, 15.1 going into last hill, went down to 14.8, just regained 15.0 at our mailbox. New ... read more

good Barron Lake area near Niles, MI 25 mi 01:40 15.0mph pace

Missed a couple turns, also had to re-route b/c some of the Map My Ride roads turned out to be dirt that wouldn't support my bike. But it was a good ride.

  14. RUN
injured Ouch. Maybe too soon for 11 m... 11 mi 02:18 12:32 pace

Felt good energy-wise but my quads and calves hurt. Time included 4/1 run/walk cycles and a few stops (water/swim for dog, take tagalong dogs back to owner, etc.)

  20. swim
alright Swim laps in New Germany Lake... 00:30

Really tired at the start, but much more energy when done. I think the easy resistance and cool water helped my jetlag and fatigue. Went running after the swim.
