alright N. Boulder / Boulder Rez. 18.09 mi 02:41 08:55 pace

Just a slog. In the war of attrition, I stopped well before the wind did, but I feel somewhat victorious inasmuch I finished. I ran 12 from home, including a loop of Boulder Reservoir, but the wind gusts were easily 60 mph across the dam. I would have cashed it in, probably, if I had to run home, but my wife joined me and was like 'You've got to be kidding!' We decided not to do a loop again but rather be side-swiped for 6 miles instead... http://connect.garmin.com/activity/145565604

I had your run yesterday, with some minor variations, but 'slog' sounds about right. I referred to mine as a 'suckfest'. Good job sloggin through the sloggins, as we say at my house ;)

Way to go, Dave. You had lots of reasons to bail or significantly alter this run -- but you got 'er done! What a difference 50 miles makes, as it's been pretty darn calm down here this morning...

The wind gets pretty damn tough up there in Boulder. You could see all the damage on the trails yesterday -- dozens of fallen trees. Way to power through!

Dang Dave, that just sounds miserable. I guess you proved my "wimpy" comment wrong :) Happy Sunday!

60 kph is challenging enough, but 60 mph - holy smokes you rock!
