good Boulder Valley Ranch 5.05 mi 00:46 09:06 pace

More snow fell last night, so cold this morning only 10 degrees yet oddly sunny... making the snow superlight and fluffy. With a mix of trails and roads, I traveled the crystal highways. With my Ya... read more

good Boulder Backroads 10.08 mi 01:25 08:26 pace

Today was so sunny, so pretty. With all the snow, the foothills remain painted white framed so brightly by the blue blue sky. So incongruent with the weekend forecast....My mind really floated today.

Hope that warm shower was good! Very good MLR effort today, particularly braving the colder temps.

Look at you posting with a frozen hand before the warm shower, a dedicated dailymiler! Wind/cold combined is number one for worst. Why can't it be wind free and pleasantly warm always for all of us runners?!

good Eben G. Fine Park 8.08 mi 01:10 08:43 pace

About four inches of new snow up here by the foothills made this a yak trax GA run even at the slower pace. I ran the hills at an even effort.

    • Andy F.

Nice run Dave! Snow and yak trax must up the difficulty level a ton!

Superb 8-miler in the snow! Oh, I could only dream of running in the snow. A favorite local snowshoe race was changed to a trail race last weekend as there wasn't any snow on the trails. Absurd! :)

Early morning run, late to post after a full day of brunch with friends and then sledding. Nice run as the snow continued to fall with my friend Andy. Second day in a row of bounding on Yak Trax.

  10. RUN
great Snowy Streets of Boulder 12.01 mi 01:57 09:42 pace

What a tough workout Dave. Congrats on getting it done. But I do have to disagree a little about training being meant to be fun. It is designed to push us and to provide structure. Both are uncomfortable and not fun sometimes. On the bright side, you must feeling better! And it doesn't sound like the winds are howling up there :)

You must be doing the 55-70 plan. Yes? I do the 35-55, but I add miles because I think there's too big a jump between the two - and my teaching schedule just doesn't let me do longer runs on T/Th. But yes, that heinous!
