  1. RUN
good Irwin Belk Track at A&T 5 mi 00:41 08:07 pace

3 x mile (7:28, 7:12, 6:53). 1200-meter warmup and cooldown, 400-meter recoveries. Getting the track warm for the NCAA East runners who'll scorch it Thursday through Saturday.

  2. RUN
    good 5 mi

    No watch.

  3. RUN
    alright 3.5 mi 00:35 09:54 pace

... Part II. Ran back home, as intended, although very slowly. So that totaled 20 miles in 3:00:34, although with about a 15-minute stoppage (is that OK to throw out a soccer term?).

I saw you crossing Market on Chapman (southbound) when I drove to the Y to pump iron. Great combo-run!

  4. RUN
    alright 16.5 mi 02:26 08:50 pace

Part I. Can't score today as a 20-miler. Finished 16.5 at the meeting place, felt beat, pondered walking home. Walked around the block with two other runners, then ...

  5. RUN
alright Hamilton Lakes loop 8.07 mi 01:11 08:45 pace

4:30 alarm, got it done by 6.

Great early run, Eddie. Did you run on the trail in the dark (headlamp, I assume)?

I've used those streets during my recent marathon training. Starmount looks flat, but it ain't!

  6. RUN
good Irwin Belk Track inside Aggie... 6.2 mi 00:50 08:05 pace

    A good workout since I wasn't feeling it one bit before it started. 4 x mile (7:29, 7:18, 7:10, 6:56). 1200 warm and cool, 400 recovers.

  7. RUN
  8. RUN
    The 'hood 4 mi

Forgot to post this from Saturday morning. No watch. Tried to flush out the bad junk from Friday's 19-miler.

  9. RUN
alright Full Atlantic & Yadkin Greenw... 19 mi 02:54 09:10 pace

Poorly. A bad reverse negative split. Temps warmed up, then the hills ate me alive. Thought about bailing and walking home but surpressed that urge. That has to be the "win" today.

  10. RUN
good A track in Greensboro 5 mi 00:41 08:11 pace

    Workout at an undisclosed track location. 3 x mile (7:24, 7:14, 6:58).

  11. RUN
good Hamilton Lakes loop 8.07 mi 01:07 08:18 pace

OK, so that's a little OCD to put 1:06:59. But if I just put 1:07:00, somebody's going to think, "Aha, he's fudging, rounding it off; really did 1:07:03 and is lyin' about ... read more

  12. RUN
alright Home to Strawberry Road and back 17.34 mi 02:34 08:51 pace

Lost some speed near the end. Most of the run along the Atlantic & Yadkin Greenway with Brian McDonald. Google Maps had 17.75; 17.34 seems more accurate.

  13. RUN
alright To Hamilton Lakes and back 6 mi

Forgot to log this one. No watch. A day after speed work, third day in a row running.

  14. RUN
good A&T's Irwin Belk Track 6.2 mi 00:51 08:11 pace

    On the Mondo Super X Performance surface. 4 x mile (7:26, 7:16, 7:12, 7:01).

Hey Darrel: Track a tad harder than I thought it would be (harder than the new Grimsley pillowtop). But the surface is sweet and does a little more work for you than, say, the private school asphalt.

  16. RUN
good To Bur-Mil Park and back 15.03 mi 02:12 08:46 pace

Started with the intent of an easy run, with the watch making sure it wasn't too slow. Cruised to the turnaround at 7.5 miles in 1:05:57 and decided to try for an even split. Despite a furious... read more

    Nice and easy.

  19. RUN
good Irwin Belk Track, Aggie Stadi... 5 mi 00:40 08:01 pace

With Bengal Dash 5K on Saturday, did 3 x mile (7:04, 6:56, 6:45) on the Mondo surface at Irwin Belk Track. The usual 1200 warmups and cooldowns with 400 recovers.

Yeah, I should have. Will was out there watching. How'd it go? Every comment I've seen mentioning the hills. Yeah, it's Chapel HILL, no question!
