  1. RUN
good Lake Daniels Greenway 7 mi 01:00 08:35 pace

Nice and cold at 21°F this morning! I was excited to get to run on the coldest morning this season so far.

  2. RUN
good Lake Daniels Greenway 4 mi 00:34 08:35 pace

Short easy run. Legs still a little dead a week after Uwharrie... motivation a little dead, too!

You're right, Emily... We'll probably run the Martinsville 1/2 in March. Just draggIng our feet. And, you know what they say, "if you're dragging your feet, you're doing it wrong!"

If you do run Martinsville, I'll see you there. Fun course, good organizers.

good Sunset Hills 4 mi 00:35 08:37 pace

Felt much better this morning, only a little calf soreness remains.

  4. RUN
good Downtown Recovery 2.8 mi 00:28 09:56 pace

Short, slow recovery around downtown. Ran with Bronwyn, who's still just as sore as me. So, it's not just about age!

Uhwarrie 20 mi - me, Bronwyn, and Jamie M bringing up the rear.

  7. RUN
    good Uhwarrie Mountain Run - 20 mi 20 mi 04:04 12:13 pace

WOW - what a race! Really tough course (to me, anyway), lots of rocks, roots, and hills. Garmin recorded 7000 ft elevation gain/loss; Sport Tracks calculated 4,000 ft; and Garmin Connect 2,800 ft... read more

  8. RUN
blah Sunset Hills 4 mi 00:35 08:45 pace

Thanks Emily and Jason! Rest tomorrow, then the Uhwarrie 20 mi Saturday... I'm not sure whether I'm looking forward to it, or looking forward to when it's over!

  9. Pace Rut = last six runs @ 8:25, 8:28, 8:28, 8:22, 8:26, 8:22. All types of terrain and distances so, 8:25 +/- 00:03 is my natural pace, I guess. I gots to mix it up!

  10. RUN
    good UNCG-Bennett-Fisher Park 6 mi 00:50 08:22 pace

New route this morning, combining parts of three other routes. New routes always seem longer. Slow at the start, then picked things up for the last 3 mi or so.

  11. RUN
good Downtown - Lake Daniels 12 mi 01:41 08:26 pace

Didn't feel too much like running this morning - 4:30 seemed to come early! Minor hip aches, but was able to pick up the pace for the last 3 miles or so.

  12. RUN
good Lake Daniels - College Hill 5 mi 00:42 08:22 pace

Much cooler (!) this morning. First couple miles flattish on the greenway, then last 3 constant rolling hills.

  13. 3k! Just completed my 3rd year on dailymile, AND burned my 3000th doughnut!!

  14. RUN
    good YMCA-Downtown 4 mi 00:34 08:28 pace

    Run before gym workout.

  15. FIT
    Weights 00:35

A little tough after 2 weeks away from the gym.

  16. RUN
    good YMCA-Downtown 4 mi 00:34 08:28 pace

Couple of loops around downtown. Heavy legs.

  17. RUN
    good Tuesday Ten-er 10 mi 01:24 08:25 pace

Felt pretty good. Ran to the Y to meet the group, then ran part of their route on my way back home. Cool and foggy.

  18. RUN
    good Downtown-Friendly Ctr 18 mi 02:38 08:45 pace

Cold and very windy this morning. Underdressed for the headwind, and overdressed downwind.

  19. RUN
good Sunset Hills 4 mi 00:35 08:38 pace

Easy run in the cool mist.
