Yeah, so my "2012 Year in Miles" report was sad. Sad on many levels. Sad because it reflected my horribly inconsistent training and running year due to recurring injuries (and I avoided the DM community through much of it). However, it is also sad because it doesn't truly reflect how awesome my year really was. The injuries FORCED me to slow-down, re-assess my training/running life, and truly enjoy my life and my family. I also started my own business (re-started actually) and have been able to focus time and energy into making it grow and prosper. I also ran some really good races (GCI and VT50), which helped me to come to the conclusion that I can focus on quality training (instead of quantity), remain healthy, get strong and perform better! So, all-in-all 2012 was a success! Watch-out 2013! A 50k, two 50-milers and my first 100-miler are on-tap. My big goal is to run the Vermont 50 in under 10 hours this year... BRING IT ON!
