Another great run with my new running partner. We were going to do 10 but were running a little late so (in my head) I re-routed the planned route for 8 miles. Headed-out to the Northborough Town "Walking Trails" through the Cold Harbor Brook conservation area and back. The Cold Harbor trail is always fun. Winding single track with all sorts of planks, bridges and bouncy floating things to cross. The section from Reservoir all the way home that "mimics" the Newton Hills was tough. Not much was said through here as we just hammered down for the grind. I may have mentioned that Adam M. had puked at the top of Birch Brush Hill the first time I took him on a similar run (to be fair it WAS the 10-miler), and we both chuckled as we passed the spot and raised our hands in triumph with a "puke and rally!" We finished and both agreed that it was a "hard eight." No wonder. It was actually 9.3. D'oh!


I have actually successfully run up that hill without puking, mind you. :)
