alright Cross Street Loop 4.15 mi 00:45 10:50 pace

So, I started by doing my stretching/yoga routine then walking 0.25 mi straight-up the hill in front of my house as a warm-up. Then I ran 1 mile, walked about 100m and repeated throughout the run. Somewhere in my third mile, the oh-so-familiar ITB pain crept-in. It got so bad that it was affecting my gait. But I pushed on. After my third and final walking recovery, I ran up the biggest hill on the route (Birch Brush Hill) and the pain seemed to alleviate a bit. Then I kept running, as I ran I FOCUSED on good form which seemed to mitigate it a lot. By the final big downhill and sprint to the finish, I wasn't feeling any of the pain at all. Weird. Confused. I finished-up with my stretching/yoga/foam-rolling routine and ice. Feeling good right now, but a little worried. Whatever. I will pound my body into submission to my will. Now that I know I can run, it's time to get in shape. I was GASSING out there.
