    good Rail Trail/Dean Park 2 mi 00:40 20:00 pace

I feel your pain! I PRd Richmond marathon in November. Achilles tendonitis has shut me down and I am ten pounds heavier. What the heck happened?

That's the ticket, DW. You told me you were doin' this at Boston and you got it done. Now that's how vision and execution is scheduled.

@Ultrastevep It was great in 2011. I had heard about the food issues, and other complaints about the bikes. Went in expecting issues, but had none. There was plenty of food left at the end and all of the bikers were great! always pleasant on the course, yielded the trail to the runners when necessary gave plenty of warning when coming up on you. Couldn't have been a better experience for my first ultra!

3 miles continuous running... Pain free! No intervals! Woo-Hoo!

  5. I gotta' admit. I'm kinda pissed that I didn't get all of the "fun" stuff on my year-end report. Did this happen to anyone else?

  6. RUN

Thanks for the update Doug! Injury sucks, reading the adventures & seeing the miles logged by those who aren't can really suck too. I struggled w/ that a lot during my bout of tendinitis, but when the healing comes you'll know it's worth the cost. Never give up, never surrender!

Nice post Doug. Same issue here. In PT, can run a few miles, but randomly feel ITB twinges when I'm driving in the car, sleeping...weird! We'll get there, this injury isn't a "forever" thing (I beat it 4 yrs ago, so I should know, lol). Hang in there, and if you want to talk or vent, message me!

Nice update. You'll get back on track before you know it. The time always seems to move too slowly in rehab, but if you commit to the program you will get there!

Oh, goodness. Don't you even think about it. Take care of yourself. For what it's worth, I'm ending 2012 with an injury that's preventing me from running, too. I sympathize.

Can't wait to hear your progress. You're not alone, I'm down & out with ITBS for 2 months now. Getting with a new PT on Monday because clearly trying to rehab on my own wasn't enough for this beast of an injury! Good luck!
