  1. Hello Dailymilers! Long time no see! I'm still running. Doing the Disney Dark Side half on Sunday. Not in PR shape but not far off either so might be able to gut one out. If not I'll ... read more

2x1600/1x800 with 400m recovery. Splits: 7:33, 7:38, 7:18. Not super excited about my pace these days but I should get faster now that I'm doing speed work again. Feeling pretty good in general.

  4. RUN
    Most Excellent 6 mi 00:53 08:53 pace

Best "long" run in a long time. Finally looking forward to running longer. Lovely weather didn't hurt. Kept all splits under 9:00.

    great Workout! 4 mi 00:34 08:35 pace

First time in a long time that I actually did a workout instead of just "going for a run". I decided to do my normal Furman FIRST 5k training plan with a goal of just getting faster and g... read more

I heard that! I find having a plan to follow helps organize and push me a bit. The race at the end is kind of the treat for the work I put in. Good luck with your training. How long is the 5K plan? What's the goal time?

12 weeks. Not sure what my target was when I calculated these paces. Probably around 22-23 min.

    A Movement? 4 mi 00:36 08:58 pace

After dropping down to just one 3-mile run a week on Wednesdays (followed by a beer), I've been trying to find my mojo. Every once in a while I will throw in another run and try to make it a l... read more

great I Needed That 5.1 mi

Garmin was dead this morning so I had a much-needed untimed run. After weeks of running 3 miles once a week, I needed to run more than 3 miles and more than once a week. If I knew my pace I probabl... read more

Great job Doug. Good to see you posting a solid run. Sometimes the untimed ones are the fun ones. Just don't let it happen again - I'm sure you'll need the data to analyze :-)

I go to the local Fleet Feet shops here in Chicago. They are doing well it seems. I like how they support the community, so I like to support them. Great pace, hope the beer was quenching Doug.

Hot. Sweaty. Walked a lot. Even stopped and chatted with an old running buddy. Finished strong for the last 1200 though.
