    2x1600/1x800 with 400m recovery. Splits: 7:33, 7:38, 7:18. Not super excited about my pace these days but I should get faster now that I'm doing speed work again. Feeling pretty good in general.

    Best "long" run in a long time. Finally looking forward to running longer. Lovely weather didn't hurt. Kept all splits under 9:00.

      I heard that! I find having a plan to follow helps organize and push me a bit. The race at the end is kind of the treat for the work I put in. Good luck with your training. How long is the 5K plan? What's the goal time?

      12 weeks. Not sure what my target was when I calculated these paces. Probably around 22-23 min.

      I go to the local Fleet Feet shops here in Chicago. They are doing well it seems. I like how they support the community, so I like to support them. Great pace, hope the beer was quenching Doug.

    First time with a new group. Over 60 people showed up. It was a fun group. Had a beer and watched the first few minutes of the OCSC game after.
