Really tried to increase my speed, but ended up with only a slightly better pace. Surprisingly, the route near the ballpark wasn't too busy. This brings my 5k time down to 36:52. Pretty close to my time a year ago, when I only really started running (and then took a long hiatus). Considering I was running alone tonight, I'm sure I could do better with others running faster. http://bit.ly/40N3EA

    That's awesome mileage. I'm a running beginner and I'm struggling just to run 0.25mi in one swoop. I'm sure you've been there, but I'm just so impressed.

    Yeah, a few days I really had to force myself to keep running past a mile. It hurt but it was so worth it!

    It's so difficult in the beginning, I know... I'm there. I'm hoping that eventually it will get easier. I'm doing a 5k run/walk on Sunday, November 22 and wonder "am I ready?". I choose what I do, and this is my choice to run.
