  1. Out of the loop...maybe I can brave the cold on Saturday

  2. RUN
    alright RubyConf 5k 2.82 mi 00:31 11:09 pace

Didn't eat breakfast, so was hungry by the time the race started. Lagged quite a bit!

  3. RUN
    alright Typical 5k Practice 3.33 mi 00:37 11:12 pace

Difficult. Tried to increase pace prior to the RubyConf 5k. Wasn't too successful. http://bit.ly/6nAJGi

  4. RUN
    great Typical 5k Practice 3.33 mi 00:36 10:45 pace

Really pushed myself and beat my 11min mile goal! YES!!! I was really huffing and puffing at the end. http://bit.ly/3xVJ1v

  5. RUN
    good Typical 5k Practice 3.49 mi 00:42 12:06 pace

After two abortive attempts this morning, ran before dinner. Really tried to keep my pace faster (was shooting for 11min mile) but I may have been too tired out from scraping the garage all day :/... read more

  6. Saturday's Goal: 11 minute mile!

  7. RUN
    great Typical 5k Practice 3.59 mi 00:42 11:47 pace

Really tried to increase my speed, but ended up with only a slightly better pace. Surprisingly, the route near the ballpark wasn't too busy. This brings my 5k time down to 36:52. Pretty close to... read more

Yeah, a few days I really had to force myself to keep running past a mile. It hurt but it was so worth it!

It's so difficult in the beginning, I know... I'm there. I'm hoping that eventually it will get easier. I'm doing a 5k run/walk on Sunday, November 22 and wonder "am I ready?". I choose what I do, and this is my choice to run.

  8. RUN
    great Typical 5k Practice 3.5 mi 00:43 12:20 pace

Felt great! Fast start. Perceived fast pace throughout, but other runners showed me up. It helped to try and keep pace with them. It's getting dark too soon! http://bit.ly/2f2IXu

  9. RUN
    blah Typical 5k Practice 3.36 mi 00:40 12:01 pace

Slowly bringing up my speed, despite the miserable weather. Windy, 40s, gray. Probably should have waited longer after lunch, too :p http://bit.ly/4ehrVk

  10. RUN
    alright Typical 5k Practice 3.1 mi 00:38 12:24 pace

A bit more difficult - aching. Running in wide open areas seems to help motivate me - want to get to the other side quickly. http://bit.ly/2QbGDy

Are you using RunKeeper Pro or the free version?

Free version. I don't remember what the pro version has but it wasn't enoughto convince me at the tome to get it.

How do you find it in terms of accuracy? Not that accuracy is based on the software as much as it is based on the device....

It's pretty bad - I usually have to edit the route afterward. it's a good ballpark estimate, though. One of these times I might try another app I have that's just dedicated to GPS logging to see if there's a difference.
