Either it was the hot weather, or just random meh-ness, but every step of this sucked. Gave up and caught the bus home.

Lol! It's not as hard as it looks :) For me, it's having the strength in the upper abdominals to get back up - you need to practice in full extension, and often we don't go down past horizontal (eg cause the floor is in the way) so we're not strengthening the outer range.

ooh does that mean me logging workouts here, sparkpeople, fitbit & nike mean they have quadruple the effect?

*Looks down at her abs and is most puzzled. Huh. They're still obscured by flab, apparently, and not bronzed toned taut and impeccably defined...*

@Velvet It's tendonitis/pinched nerve/something going on which is inflaming the distal, lateral region of the 1st metatarsal. Have to keep pressure off the area, so no standing up on the balls of my feet, no lunges, no running, etc. Physio thinks it was likely aggravated by doing the two ballet classes in a row, although it didn't crop up for a few days afterwards.

@Diane ooh not nice. I had something in that area once after an impromptu walk back from cambridge town to the outskirts in the wrong shoes. Frustrating but early rest often the very best thing!
