Hi Desiree, thanks for the add! Seems like you knee and shin have been niggling at you a bit over the past few weeks, have you had it checked out by a physio or anything. I've only been running a few years but have learned the hard way to respond quickly to injuries to stop them escalating. If you feel your pain is not resolving itself might be worth getting it checked out. Hope I'm just paranoid!

feel better!! my right knee hurts too after 5 miles on my pops a bit. I bought a knee wrap (from CVS) and it has relieved the pain a lot. Maybe try that?

    That was painful

  17. When people say "push through the pain!" -- What pain is OK and not OK to run through?

Great question... I was asking myself the same thing this weekend. Had a terrible (slow) run this weekend and by the time I finished, my quads were so tight/heavy. Rested Sunday and decided to see how I'd do on the treadmill last night. It was slow, and my quads were a little tight, but no pain. Feel okay today, but wondering if it was better to have waited another day?

Most IMPORTANT thing is good shoes. Bottom line and 16 month old shoes wil only get you hurt and hurt badly.

    good Nordi 3.32 mi

Knee and shin still tender! Set out for 5miles, but I am happy with what I completed. and at a 1% incline!

    • Chanthana

Great run! And good girl with setting that incline :) Otherwise, it'll feel like you are running downhill and it'll bother your shins.

Thank you for the advice on the incline :)

@Chanthana, should everyone adjust their incline to at least .5%? Or is that geared specifically towards someone with pain in their shins?
