So, no run today...I stuck to my decision. I thought about it, to be honest, but I resisted the little temptation I had, and just enjoyed the rest day. One more rest day on Friday, then an easy run on Saturday morning. I always look forward to race days, but this one is extra special. It is because I get to meet several running friends face-to-face...finally! It'll be good to finally put some voices to the names and pictures. I'm sure the topic of conversation that will dominate most this weekend will be. . .. running, of course, LOL! But that's just fine, because that's what brought us all together in the first place.
As for the race itself, still hoping for some decent running weather. I guess this weekend will be all about hydration, hydration and more hydration. Even though the conditions could be less than ideal, I still wanna have a great race. I hate the thought of having to slow my pace down. But, I do realize that may very well be the case. Oh well, the theme for me this week leading up to, and during the race is adapt, adjust and acclimate. Hopefully, the weather won't be too much of a factor--I'm still looking forward to the race, as well as pre and post-race.
