I've been feeling crappy this week and skipping workouts. After I got home from a late day at work, I just needed run without any goal in mind. Brought my favorite music, and my Garmin but never looked at it. I felt better by the end.

That's exactly what I needed last night. Every workout right now has a planned distance/time/pace...and I just needed a break from that structure. I needed to run just for fun.

Yes, I was just reading about bringing it down to the basics and remembering the fun part of running. You clearly gave an example of this!

Oh a fall! Yikes! Hope you're ok. I'm doing the Cranberry Trifest at the end of August. And I'm doing the Danskin at Webster Lake in September.

By the time the run started it was getting hot with the sun. Halfway through the run, my stomach started to cramp. But I kept trying to push forward. 126/1549 overall, 29/283 in age group

I felt great on the bike, well except for the hill which made me feel like I was going to throw up. Only two people passed me, which I passed later. It felt a lot like I was yelling "on your left" most of the time. The bike was my favorite... read more

I was in wave 6 out of 25, which made it so I started the swim at 7:17. I think the last wave left at 8:25. I had a hard time catching my breath in the beginning of the swim. So I ended up doing a little breast stroke until I felt less panicky. It ... read more

It was raining hard when Bill & I went out for his long run of 6 miles. But the blister on my right foot and my stomach were causing problems. So we did one loop around the park and headed home. I always run better in the morning.
