    Woke up with horrible lower back pain. That didn't make for a very enthusiastic run. But I got it done before the extreme heat and humidity settled in for the day.

      I hate to encourage 'drug use' but when I wake up like that and it interferes that much with my running, I take some ibuprofen. It can help, just don't take it too much.

      lol you are better than me! I skipped today because of the rain. Great run! The extra 10lbs burns more calories (that's what I'd be telling myself anyways :P)!

      You're making a lot of progress! Way to go! And, yes, don't compare yourself to Ryan Hall, Paula Radcliffe, Kara Goucher or any friends who are faster than you. Compare yourself to YOU! :) That's a lesson I'm still slowly learning myself.
