    Since I'm confined to the bike for a month I'm starting to vary the time and intensity of the workouts. Did intervals, 4x4 minutes with one minute easy. Worked up a good sweat.

      Nah, strictly biking the rest of the month. Plan to try running on 9/1. Unfortunately I will miss the Run for the Seals, although I may come for the 2-mile walk and great refreshments.

    Just for kicks I weighed my Schwinn mountain bike to compare with Kevin's. My bike weighs as much as two of his. 37 lbs., or with water bottle, 38!

    Surprisingly chilly out. There was fog around Coyote Hills so I altered my route. Sore backside!

      Get used to the bike. That's six weeks for every doctor I know. The bike will keep you fit though, you'll see.

      @Dana, self-diagnosed. I've had stress fractures before and the symptoms are the same.
