      yeah, I am limited in what speed training my body can tolerate and fartlek on soft surfaces seems to work okay.

      I suspect that what I do every day on all these mountain trails near my home could be classified as fartlek by design – the undulating design of the trails. Depending on the terrain and the grade at any given moment, I'm doing anything from a virtual sprint to speed walking.

      Good run! That's a lot of jackrabbits! We see a ton of them over here during the summer. For some reason they always remind me of early days Bugs Bunny.
