Up at 4 am for some double digit miles on this lovely Thursday morning. The plan was 3.5 warm-up, 3.5 at marathon (moderate) pace, 3.5 cooldown. Didn't really map out a route so just headed out in the upper 30 temps (but still cooling down a few degrees). Went down Country Club and turned about 4 miles in down a road until I got to 5 miles and then turned it around and headed the same way back.

The middle miles at the more moderate effort felt a little tough but I tried my best to stay away from the comfortably hard zone that would be seen in a faster tempo run. Happy with splits in the 9-9:15 range for the 3 at marathon pace. I'll be honest, I just about hated the cooldown miles. I was beat, my legs were tired, and I wanted to just be done. Finally finished and that was that. Overall a decent run but pretty glad to be done with it.
