Back at it this morning for a nice easy long run. Plan said 12-13 at a steady easy pace with minimal fueling (nothing in the 2nd half). Not quite 30 degrees when I finally rolled outside around 8:30 but felt really nice in the sunshine. Just headed down Country Club and did a loop around Hawthorne through Ardmore before grabbing water a bit before mile 7. I brought some Gu Chomps but decided to only use the water as fuel.
Last 5 miles were much rougher as I was feeling low on energy and my legs were starting to feel it a bit too. Just kept on moving along and it felt great to finish. Immdiately grabbed some Gatorade to replenish some calories. Grape G2 for the win. Overall this was an alright long run and not fueling as I usually would had me fight more mentally to keep those tired legs moving. Solid week. Maybe a beer or 2 this afternoon is in order.

Maybe taking something the first half, as suggested, would have helped! I've done LSD runs on just water and power beans but gotta have something if it's more than 7. Pace still looks good, nice and easy. Enjoy the libations!

Nice miles there. So you usually fuel for 12 miles? I don't usually add anything until 15-16 mi, though I will take Gatorade if racing a half.

Why weren't you fueling? Good job getting the 12 in under those conditions.
