Long run on Sunday this week (usually going to be Saturday for marathon training). Got a solid night of sleep and got up around 7:30 ready to knock out 12. It was cold and a brisk wind out there made it feel like mid 20 temps. Bundled up, grabbed a pack of orange Gu Chomps and was on my way. Headed down Country Club to Knollwood and then did a little loop in the Ardmore area before heading back. Took the chomps at mile 4.5 and then again at 9.

Overall the plan was to take it easy until the last few miles where I was told I could get "frisky" if I so desired. Figured I'd open it up a bit for the last 3 miles as I felt good and was ready to roll. Plan was maybe bring it down to about 9 minute miles. Oops, apparently my legs wanted to move as I knocked out an 8:30 for mile 10, an 8:26 for mile 11, and then told myself to try and go sub-8 for mile 12. 7:54 to finish up the run. Boom. Felt awesome picking it up a bit and was a great close to a solid long run and a solid week of miles.
