i was honestly getting really down about the winter. i've put in a lot of work this spring and summer and i was afraid it would all go down the drain. since a gym membership is out of the question right now and i can't sneak out early mornings or evenings since my hubbie is gone, i didn't know how i would keep up my fitness through the fall and winter. this tm is a God-send...i LOVE it!

Yay! I really believe it can make you a better runner. Just easing the scheduling stress has got to help. Remember to keep it on a 1 or 2% incline to better mimic outdoor running.

nice job! I myself hate trail running, but that's because I'm clumsy and tend to trip easily. I admire those that do.

I love trail running and I do have a pair of trail shoes. I find that my street shoe soles are to thin and my feet bruise if it's a rocky trail. So glad you tried it and liked it!

Nothing greater than the open trail (single track, carriage trail, you name it!). At first I ran in my road shoes until I could get to a store that had a good selection of trail shoes. Now that I have trail shoes I don't know how I did it before. There is a big difference in the profile between road/trail shoes. Go and try some on and ask about their return policy so that if you get out on the trail and they aren't going to work you can return them.

Yay!!!! That is AWESOME! My 6yo son ran his 1st 5k this year at the Susan G Komen race. He did another in July and improved his time. I kept him going by running alongside him and challenging him to run to each lightpost, intersection, etc.. I'm so happy for you! You will be a proud momma, I guarantee it!!
