Was a Great Race Besides the Heat Exhaustion. I Ran the first Half with the 8:55min per mile Pacer with no problems thinking I would take it easy. I drank at every mile but not nearly enough. One little cup nearly half full of water and / or gatorade was not enough and it caught up to me. The temperature past 82 degrees quick. I felt my heart beating not fast but harder and felt sick so I did not want to risk and health concerns so I walked most all the second half. Even stopped for the bathroom and sat down multiple times in the shade when it was avalible. I threw up at the 22mile mark or so just walking. I never trained in the sun or in temperatures above 70 degrees so this was a learning experince. out of 600 registered to run 470 finished and I was not the last amazingly I placed 396 walking about half of it. I feel good today and have no injury. I got my cool Medal and got Bill Rodgers to Sign my Number. He told me it was going to be a hot one and to take it very slow the night before.

Thanks for the feedback. It sure will be easy to get a PR when / if I do another Marathon....I just won't have to stop and sit down under every shade spot and hit all the porta-poty bathrooms. I really need to loose some fat....193lbs was to heavy. I should be 180 something.
