I figured since the race is 3.5 miles I ought to get my goal of a painless 5k out of the way. And since I lifted yesterday and did elliptical this morning I should take it easy. So i set my goal of a 70% of max, max. Was good till the end when the pace was just too slow. Longest run in a long time.

Other then occasional 5 mile I think I'm going to keep the distance down for quite some time and work on getting faster. I'm signed up for a race in October and I have friends racing in it; must have a good showing there. I want to be running a 5k in 24 minutes by then...lots of work to do.
