My buddy Jason is training for his first Ironman which is in 3 weeks. Today was a 100 mile ride for him and since I knew how tough those solo hundreds are I offered to ride with him for the first 5... read more

  2. swim
    good my backyard 1600 m 00:30 29:45 pace

    Nice endurance swim.

  3. VELO
great Around the block 7.36 mi 00:26 16.9mph pace

Easy ride around the block a couple times, once again stopped at the park and knocked out 10 pullups, 10 chinups and 20 dips.

  4. RUN
alright creek trail 0.7 mi 00:06:16 08:57 pace

Merrells are feeling good. P shot a video so I could watch my landing. I've got a nice forefoot landing but I am still toeing off too much which is tweaking the PF. I'll work on that next.

  5. VELO
great My living room 14 mi 00:48 17.4mph pace

Another super hard trainer workout, Spinervals "The Uphill Grind"

  10. VELO
good My living room 17.51 mi 01:00 17.5mph pace

Did one of my favorite trainer workouts today: Spinervals Hillacious. It's a hill climbing simulation workout that destroys the legs!

  11. swim
    good My backyard 1200 m 00:21 28:21 pace

400 m warmup, 20x20m hard, 400 cooldown. Felt really good and was glad to see that the speedwork shaved about 3 minutes off my 1200 time.

  12. VELO
good Around the block 7.3 mi 00:26 17.2mph pace

I rode the 3.5 mile loop around the block and stopped on both loops at the park and did 5 pull ups, 5 chin ups, and 10 dips each time. Made the ride more of a total body workout.

  13. RUN
great Down the street and back 0.21 mi 00:01:57 09:17 pace

All right, I'm starting all over like I've never run before. I am finally starting to see some improvements in my foot after religiously doing a bunch of foot strengthening exercises, get... read more

  14. VELO
great Elk Grove 35.1 mi 01:47 19.7mph pace

Rode all over Elk Grove this morning. It is really hard to get in long, safe rides in town...

I bet it's tough on a bike. I went around town and tried to stay on the sidewalks and it's still dangerous. Almost got hit 3 separate times this morning. And I love the fact that the drivers look at me like it's my fault.

EG is definitely not the most bike and pedestrian friendly city.
