Took the last two days off as Monday the hip was feeling really bad, yesterday not much better and couldn't walk without a limp and today felt much better. Thought about taking today off as well but had a doctors appt and a few spare hours so figured I would hit the towpath and try and do a tempo run. Hip hurt for the first mile or so and once I started the tempo portion it felt better. Ended up doing 5 @ 6:30 pace. Wanted to originally do 8 @ 6:30 but it was really warm out and I just had blood drawn about an hour before running. Finished up with 5 easy miles. The hip feels great after running and it is at night and in the morning that it is just creating havoc. Still hanging in there and doing whatever it takes to make it through the next 2 1/2 weeks.

    Hope that hip continues to loosen up, sounds like the extra rest paid off. Nice miles!

    Hoping that the hip continues to allow you to make it through the awesome cycle that you're having. The reduced mileage coming up should help, I would think. Nice run.

    Good to hear from you. Realized your lack of presence on DM late yesterday and wondered/worried how you were holding up. Can you scale back now? Surely the fitness is there or what that just make you way too antsy? Just glad to see that you are still in fact, hanging on.

    Glad the hip feels better at that pace. Hopefully some easy running and reduced mileage the next 2 weeks will help it feel good.
