Everything was cranky this morning which didn't surprise me after running hard yesterday and from playing paintball last night. I am getting to old for this but my boys had a blast. i paid the price for it but it was worth it. Some heavy stretching and rolling and I was able to loosen things up enough to run. I could feel my hip for pretty much the whole run but it was just a dull pain. i have rolled and stretched after running as well and things feel pretty good. Nice to get another higher mileage week done.

    Wow, long miles after the monster workout. Glad the rolling and stretching is making things manageable - I assume the taper is in sight?

    You definitely put up the miles this week--I am sure your hips are merely reminding you of that. No doubt that when you do hit your taper that you will be perfectly primed for it and will come out on the other side ready & raring to go.

    @Greg S. One more week of training and then off to the taper. I do plan on running my easy days really easy next week though. @Marcie I agree with you that my body is reminding me of the mileage.

    Didn't see you log that paintball workout, so it didn't count, and if it didn't count, then you got no right to complain. Another solid effort, for sure, David. Your body will be grateful when you hit that taper.

    @Mike If it doesn't count then why do I have bruises on my upper body from getting pelted? Besides, I just like to complain. You are right, I am just making sure I get to the taper now. Right now I actually feel really good compared to last Sunday when I wasn't sure and I didn't run. My boys asked my wife why I am on the foam roller all the time. It does seem to be working.
