blah That was a long day 10.09 mi 01:18 07:46 pace

Was tied up on an offsite meeting all day again, my wife had plans tonight, and I had to lift weights as well. By the time I was able to get out and run it was 9 PM and I was already tired. Not to mention that last nights workout beat me up more then I thought that it would. I even had stiff knees today and I never have problems with my knees. But when you are marathon training you have to get the miles in. Decided to put the headlamp on and run on the towpath. I had a really hard time getting into a groove and just couldn't get relaxed. My depth perception is getting really bad at night and as a result I just couldn't get a relaxed running stride. Regardless, I was able to get the miles in and glad that today is done. Tomorrow is a new day.
I haven't ran on the towpath at night in a long time and it is weird seeing the glowing eyes from the deer. Always makes you think "I sure hope that is only a deer!"

Really great that you were able to get this in after a LONG day! I have trouble in the dark too. Nice miles.

Solid David. Love that you find a way to make it happen even with the other pressures around you. Shows a lot of dedication. Perhaps the glowing eyes helped you run faster? :)

Impressive running so late and after such a long day. And I know exactly what you mean about the deer... I'm always grateful that it's truly deer and not something else!

Nice job getting it in, David. Glad to see you're a proud member of the headlamp club too!

Its hard for me to do the running in dark too. Good job , fitting it all in. It is tough to do sometimes.

As someone wise once told me--I think it was you--the marathon rewards you for your consistency. You have, no doubt, been consistent. Good for you.
