Took yesterday off as my right hip was giving me fits which continued all day. I rolled and stretched all day yesterday which would make it feel better at times. I had a hard time walking this morning and was in a fair amount of pain when moving around. I was pretty much doom and gloom all morning. Do not ask me why, but I decided to go out for a run instead of taking another day off. The run actually went very well and things loosened up and the hip only hurt a bit at the beginning. Now go figure, after the run everything feels great. I don't have shooting pains, have full mobility (couldn't stand on one leg this morning) and nothing hurts. I am keeping my fingers crossed and hope that this does get better and doesn't progress. I will try and do the stationary bike for a few minutes in the morning and at night to see if that helps to loosen things up. I had something similar on the last training cycle and that problem cleared up quickly.
The legs really wanted to go today as they were rested from taking yesterday off.

Sounds like a good plan, I hope that hip stays loose for you. Sometimes a run is just what the doctor ordered. Nice miles!

Hope it turns out to be nothing, the run sounds promising. Sometimes I think we just get a bit "out of whack" and almost need to pound things back into place. I'm speaking physiologically, of course.

Glad things are much better now and that they will stay like that! Running = best medicine! ... hey but no need to push things beyond limits, so maybe keep it easy for a day or two?

Interesting. So glad to see that smiley face in the report given the circumstances leading right up to the run. No chance that the bicycle might make it worse is there?
Regardless glad you took the leap and went for the run. Sending healthy thoughts your way...

sometimes a break helps even if you feel tighter

Ugh, I can relate. Seems like when I'm forced to not run (too long shifts at work) my right hip has been stiff lately. Feels waaaay better once I've run. I think it is all the sitting at work. I have been trying to stand more, instead of sitting. Glad the 7 helped.
